snow day, slow day

we stayed in our pj's yesterday until after lunch, but once we finally got dressed we did make it outside for a bit of snowy fun.

craig pulled the kiddos up and down the street on the sled and i snapped a very few pics and then headed in to bake cookies and make hot chocolate.

we warmed up by the fire and enjoyed the slow pace of the day.

and today we are doing more of the same.

i have been craving a mushroom omelet since i saw one on there last week.and this morning i finally had time to make one.

i found a link to this project on a blog i love and i instantly knew i wanted to do it. it is very important to me to remember that it is a privileged to get to do something i love so very much. and i feel like this is an opportunity for me to push myself out of my comfort zone (aka people) and explore all the beauty around me.
also loved that it is not on a timetable, just 100 photos as they come to me.

cold day

It is super cold here today and we have even had very light snow flurries off and on through the day. It has been a perfect day to curl up on the couch, play a few games and sip on a hot drink.

Snuggles are great too.

Now heading to sit by the fire and sip my tea.

The boys and Reese & Dylan spent New Years Eve at my parents house.
They had so much fun and my mom even managed to get this cutie picture.
