family pics and popcorn shop

We enjoyed the beautiful weekend we had her in Chicago. On Sunday afternoon I had a chance to spend some time taking pictures of the Davidsons and then we met my guys at the popcorn shop, a Wheaton fav of mine.

This was the first time for the boys to visit the popcorn shop. My first time was 12 years ago, the 1st time I came to Chicago. It is a tiny shop with candy lining one wall and you pay and buy popcorn at the end and then shimmy out past the candy-LOVE IT!

and so did my little guys.

trick

Tonight was a first experience with true trick-or-treating. We have done trunk or treat at our church since the boys were babies and we have always done that. We decided that the best way to start was with someone we knew...so we made a phone call.

Also best to go somewhere people know you if you are 30 and in costume.

The Chino kids were rockin it out as Harry Potter characters.

And the Loibner boys were doing the Star Wars characters proud.

Happy Halloween!

or treat

We are living with Pete's parents while on the house hunt and for the weekend 3 of the Chinos are living here too. It has made for such a fun Halloween day! And lots of Halloween treats with 5 grand kids here to enjoy.

By dinner time Julie's kitchen had been used to make crepes, tomato soup, grilled cheese, caramel apples, popcorn balls, chili, hot dogs and I'm sure I am still forgetting something.

Along with these cute and eager helpers, I made the caramel apples.

YUM!

And watched for the popcorn balls.

Loads of YUMMY treats.

Pumpkin

We have been a little behind on our usually Halloween preparations this year. We never made it to the pumpkin patch (boo:() and we just got to the pumpkin carving on Thursday night.

Peter got lucky by getting the boys to agree to only do one jack-o-lantern.

Much input!

And here he is....Jack.

He might have lost a tooth...probably from all that candy.

Boo at the Zoo

.....well sort of.
Yesterday morning Campbell and I had the pleasure of helping Amy and Nathan celebrate there Anniversary by having Eli and Lucy over to play.

They played so well together!

in fact they were so good that when Amy and Nathan got there they decided to keep up the fun by taking the kids to Boo at the Zoo. Unfortunately the festivities of that do not start until 6 so they were just some really cute kids in costumes at the Zoo.

Howdy Partner...

...to Infinity and Beyond

As you might remember from an earlier post C is actually going to be Yoda for Halloween, but Amy had a Woody and Buzz costume and we couldn't resist...LOVE IT!!!
