May BAM

The summer baskets are so beautiful! It was a treat to go out with the boys this morning and pick up our basket in Argenta. And now the baskets are going to be available every 2 weeks for the summer, i'll be looking for the blackberries.

THIS MONTH
1 lb beefalo
1 lb cheese (cheddar and jalapeno)
bean sprouts ( alison, i need you! what do i use these for?)
spring mix
onions
shiitake vinaigrette dressing
sugar snap peas
sweet potatoes
basil
strawberries
shiitake mushrooms
garlic
whole milk
red fire lettuce
dozen eggs
Last week I bought this amazing strawberry salad dressing and today we got the other in our basket. I love that line...a little bit of arkansas in each bottle.

Growing up

When I look at the boys I think they still look 1 & 3, but they are actually 3 & 5 and another year (school year) has flown by. I decided to take a picture similar to the first day of school on their last day of school. They really are growing up.

check it out

i know i have mentioned how much i love the river market, but i'm not sure if i have mentioned that i equally love the new market in argenta. it is right on main street, so you can't miss it and it is open the same times as the river market. if you were looking to make a morning of it you could walk from one to the other using the new pedestrian bridge.

the strawberries will be gone soon!

The Graduate

I can't believe it. People always say time goes by so fast with your kids, but it is really true. I can't believe Wilson is already a graduate....so it might just be preschool, but it has gone fast.Wilson's school had a little graduation performance. It was hilarious!
There was singing, dancing, diplomas,

even costumes.

And sitting next to me were the kissing cousins
We are so proud of our sweet boy.

Arkansas Strawberries

I really can't believe that summer is here. It has been a crazy spring and I am very excited to get into the rhythm of summer. One of my favorite activities that comes in May is the River Market. I like to start every Saturday morning at the market for fresh fruits and veggies and maybe a chocolate croissant from Boulevard. At the moment my top pick at the market are lettuce and Arkansas strawberries. They are d-lish and don't last long, so go get you some.
We got berries last week and made strawberry shortcake for mother's day. We even found these beautiful eatable flowers to top them off.

Happy Mother's Day!

I wanted to say Happy Mother's Day. Not just to my mom, but to all the women in my life. Having children has changed my life in so many incredible ways and today I really thought about how much it has helped me appreciate all the people that take on this role. Hope you had a great day!
thanks mom.

Characters

There were many reasons why this was a great time to visit Disney. I guess we found the small window between spring break and summer break. So not only did we have wonderful spring weather, but we also had much smaller crowds which means short lines and some time to meet the characters. I think our longest line for a ride was 10 or 15 minutes and we could always get to a character in about 5 minutes. Sometimes we found them tucked away somewhere with no line at all. We got to meet the Genie from Aladdin, Mary Poppins, a princess named Annabelle??, Mickey, Goofy, Chip and Dale, Minnie, Jojo, Goliath, Leo, June, Buzz Lightyear, Bullseye,
Woody and Jessie,
Donald,Monkey from Tarzan,

Wendy and Peter Pan,
and Alice.

Epcot garden festival

It was an amazing time to be in Florida. We had such great weather and hit Epcot's annual flower and garden festival. There were flowers everywhere. And the picture of the butterfly was taken in a tent full of butterflies, they were flying all around and it was beautiful!

by the tail

In preparing for our trip i decided to purchase these backpacks i had seen last fall. Even though it seems a little cruel to have the boys on a leash, they seemed a little sweeter because they looked like stuffed animals. And in my defense they loved them. Wilson thought his made a good lasso.I can't tell you the number of people that stopped us and asked where we got these.

We laughed and laughed because the boys liked to run and us catch them with the tail. It reminded me of that old SNL skit with Mike Myers. Anybody remember that? He has a leash on and he is attached to playground equipment??
