We went to a party a few weeks ago and they had these adorable glass coke bottles. I drank one, even though I have given up carbonated drinks, because it was just SO cute. I also might have looked crazy taking my little bottle to a cute place outside to take a picture, but that is what this is about for me....stepping outside what is comfortable.

wilson's world

In an effort to keep up with his way cool big cousins Wilson has been begging to have his own website. So tonight we gave it a go and now Wilson has his very own blog, wilson's world. It does seem a little crazy to me, but I figure it is a good way for him to express all the stories in his head and maybe get familiar with a computer and keyboard (i am 30 and cannot type). He is SUPER excited about it so if you have a sec stop by and leave him a comment....he will eat it up. Plus you might learn all you ever wanted to know about Legos, light sabers and all things Star Wars.

cupcakes coming!

We have been working like crazy on the cupcakes for Saturday. We would love for you to stop by and have a cupcake with us or come by and pick one (or lots) up for your sweetie. Last night we did some wrapping for an order that was delivered this morning and I thought they looked so adorable all wrapped up. Wouldn't this be the best treat to give to someone special?

cupcakes for haiti

my sis-in-law is doing a Valentine's cupcake sale to raise money for Haiti. We are baking the cupcakes Friday so we will do special orders on Friday or Saturday and a little drop by cupcake sale/party on Saturday afternoon. lazy days

we have had our share of crazy play in these days at home, but by far my favorite part of the day is when the crazies get a bit tired and we cuddle up by the fire or in a big pile on the couch. i was able to catch one of these quickly fleeting moments yesterday.
it makes my heart smile.

simple mom giveaway

the snow has really given me the gift of time for the last few days. that is i am free to catch up on my email and blog reading, anything that i can do without too much thought, because lets face it i am stuck in the house with a 4 & 6 year old who have unlimited questions and request through the day. and as soon as i commit myself to a project that takes longer than 5 minutes DISASTER STRIKES! tears, spills, kicking,begging, scratching, hunger. i had to question Wilson this morning on why it was that when he goes to school he is fine to not eat between his 7:30 breakfast and his 11:30 lunch, but yet while here on these snowy days he is wanting breakfast, morning snack, and elevensies?
all this is really just the explanation for why i am able to share giveaways i have found on blogs i follow and not able to actually accomplish anything productive, other than some really great family time and a few extra cuddles- i have loved that!

our snowy day

what a surprise!
pete and i were awakened at 5 this morning by a phone call letting us know that it was snowing and hard to get to work for a few folks. i had NO idea that it was suppose to snow so i was very excited by the beautiful surprise.

and a few hours later a few other folks were also very excited.

i happened upon the boys snow boots this past week (still packed up in our new house) and so we geared up and headed out for some fun in the gorgeous snow.

one of my favorite things was that this was a wet snow, perfect for snowmen and snowballs.
