Easter Eggs

Okay, so I decide better late than never on these fun pictures of the kids dying eggs. This is something I have very found memories of doing as a child. We would dye eggs at my Gippy's house with my cousins- so fun!! We also did shrinky dinks as kids. Anybody remember those? I am not sure they still exist, but they were fun.

Eli was very devoted to his "craft." He left each egg in the dye for a long time and would suck the extra off when he was done.

Ben's hand was dyed green, which went along nicely with the Chinos' green Easter clothes.

Jumping

Over the past few weeks Wilson has fallen in love with the trampoline. It was bound to happen really. When Peter and I were first married it was high on the list of things we would like to have some day, you know..jobs, kids, house, trampoline. Pete even had a plan where we put a trampoline on the roof of our first apartment. All that to say, it is in his blood, we love trampolines. So it has worked out very well that Craig and Julie now have one.
He likes it best when he can do "big jumps", which is great when the big cousins are around.
Not so much with these guys.
You can only lock them out for so long,
then they were ready for a piece of the action.

Easter

family, fun, eggs, candy, sweater vest, baskets, sugar, egg hunting, basketball watching, food.... it was a fun filled and action packed Easter.

We had lunch at Pete's parents house with the Chinos and Grandmother.

Then it was off to my brother's house for more cousin fun and a delayed celebration of Campbell's birthday.

The day ended with our 4th Easter egg hunt of the weekend.

"S" day

I shared a few weeks ago about Wilson's class doing the letter days, well yesterday they finished up with "s" day. Peter jumped on that with a little Starbucks presentation.

I don't think I can describe how excited and proud Wilson was. When we got there he jumped around the room and very politely introduced us to his class.

Then he was the perfect helper. He helped pour the ingredients, explained it to his class and even put the straws in the tiny frappachino cups.It was a great day!

WHITE

continued with a few other colors thrown in.
We had the beautiful surprise of snow 2 times this week. The first was on Tuesday and I really took advantage, driving around NLR with my camera. The second came on Friday and lasted all day, we spent much of the day staring out the window.

The boys even played in the snow for a few minutes before school.

I have discovered that Wilson has his own ideas about posing for the camera. He has a few faces he makes, this is one, and there are even some arm movements. I will share more later.

BROWN

When I saw that brown was one of the days I knew for sure that I wanted to use a picture of our basket eggs. These are the beautiful (and delicious) eggs we got this month in the BAM. Ours were all brown, but I heard whispers of blue eggs- I want to see those.
Anyways eggs in all colors make me excited for Spring and Easter. I think the boys might be old enough this year to enjoy dying eggs or at least long enough to get a few pictures.

YELLOW

It just so happens that yellow day fell on the same day as "Y" day at Wilson's school. He had to take a piece of yarn to school and since it was out I took a few pics. I must confess that I have a large tub full of yarn. A few years ago we (the girls in the Loibner family) learned how to knit and I really got carried away. Not so much with the knitting, but with the yarn. It comes in so many beautiful colors and textures. Maybe someday I'll make you a scarf.

GREEN

Obviously we are all about Starbucks. I can't tell you how many times I have thought about how great it is that Starbucks has such a good green.

Wilson is learning early
This is sweet baby Campbell in his Starbucks onsie.

BLUE

This is a picture I took a few years ago at the river market. Berries have to be one of my favorite things about the weather getting warmer. All the fresh produce and the farmers market-yummy!

PINK

Jerusalem posted a few days ago about a week of blogging about colors. Each day is assigned a color and I guess you just take it from there. This sounded great to me because I like color and am tired of the grayness of winter & also because I love an excuse to spend more time with my camera.
Today is pink and I really spent some time today thinking about the lack of pink in my life. I do like pink, but it doesn't play much of a role in my male dominated world. I should be good to go on the blue day.

Ignoring my laundry

It has really been a long week. Peter has been sick, like everyone else, and I have stayed in my house far too much. So today I put aside the 30 things I needed to do around my house and we went out.

Wilson, Campbell, and I packed a snack & went to 2 different playgrounds...

and the Old Mill.

I am so thankful for this beautiful day.
