February BAM

I'm not sure what got me out of the habit of sharing the joy of the Basket of the Month, but it is back. Last month we started getting this delish milk and it is a very exciting addition. I realize that in the past I might have shared some concern about milk, but that just proves how much I get caught up in marketing. The package really matters to me, when it reads " for Pets Only" I have a hard time, but when it comes in these beautiful glass jars I feel like a milk man dropped it on my front porch- a happy feeling.
1/2 gallon whole milk
1 pint chocolate milk
1-2 lbs ground beef
1 lb pork sausage
pancake mix
spring mix, lettuce
2 cheeses
8 grain bread from Boulevard
fresh pasta
dozen grass fed eggs
sweet potatoes
sorghum molasses
2 heirloom tomatoes

"W" Day

It is hard for me to believe that Wilson is just 6 months away from starting Kindergarten, but he is. In preparation his preschool class is learning a letter a day. They don't do the letters in order, very smart teachers, so they don't only know them in that order. It has been really fun because with each letter there is an activity or something that goes along with it. Wear blue on "b" day, make lemonade on "l" day.......but the part Wilson has looked most forward to is that if the letter of the day is the letter that starts your name you get to bring in a bag of things that start with "your letter."
We have been planning for weeks. Mary Polly and Ben helped Wilson make a list and yesterday it finally came, "W" Day!!!! We went to school with a toy walrus, a Webkinz, a water gun, waffles, wire, a whistle, a washcloth, wipes, and a picture of Wilson and Whitney.

The Little Guys

When we had Campbell we felt pretty certain that he would be the last cousin on the Loibner side. To our delight he has been joined by not one, but two more boy cousins. It is fun to think about them as a little gang of their own and he and Simon are starting to give us a glimpse of what that is going to be like. Trouble! They have started playing together and Campbell is asking for Simon, it is so sweet. Now we just need a little visit from Phin.

Tahoe - snow babies

I love the way a little kid looks in all these clothes. Don't be confused, it was NO fun to put all these clothes on, but looking at them in them makes me smile.

IC sale

From a very early age I had a love for stationary. I makes me a little giddy. When the Chinos lived in Seattle we would always visit this amazing stamp store and the paper store that sat next to it. I would get so overwhelmed by it that sometimes we had to make 2 trips to this store during our visit. Almost every time I go to Target, which is often, I find myself standing in the stationary isle, just looking over all the beautiful paper. This love combined with the love of a bargin make the Inviting Company sale, that comes around twice a year, a very exciting time.

The sale started yesterday and runs through Saturday and is a great bargin. For those of you that have never been I would say it is worth checking out, especially if you have a party to throw, shower to give, or just love stationary, as I do.
